Released:
Label: ATO/RED INK
With only three members, the Whigs still bang out a good deal of sound in this live set recorded exclusively for Rhapsody. Their beat-driven, explosive rock shimmies and shakes with an innocent charisma that packs in enough gusto to get a crowd rising to its feet. The fiery guitar solo on "Half the World Away" and the grittiness of Parker Gispert's vocals on "Nothing Is Easy" add a beastly bite to their set. Along with four songs from their 2006 debut, the Whigs perform the previously unreleased track "Like a Vibration," offering us a glimpse of what's to come from this young, talented band.
