Released:
Label: Reunion/Chapman
Chapman's been at this long enough that he's permitted to take a long, longing look back, but don't mistake The Glorious Unfolding for a swan song. Instead, it's mostly a return to the upbeat pop he does best. Granted, SCC is showing his age, but in a good way. Several tracks deal with aging and coming to grips with a life that didn't turn out as expected. "Together" is the follow-up to wedding standard "I Will Be Here," while "Take Another Step" is inspired by Oswald Chambers (and maybe the band fun.). Overall, Chapman manages to stay current without seeming like he's trying too hard.
