Released:
Label: Motown Records
It's only their second album, but the Grammy-nominated Shiny Toy Guns already have a lineup change. Carah Faye Charnow was replaced by Sisely Treasure -- a TV reality star who (gulp) competed to be the next Pussycat Doll. There is no sleazy radio pop here, though, just sleazy electro-industrial emo. Treasure adds a bratty female counterpart to Chad Petree's howls and robot talk. It's like the Ting Tings with heaps more black eyeliner. First single "Ricochet!" is a feedback-heavy Marilyn Manson-ish rocker that showcases their appeal to both gritty industrialists and emo enthusiasts.
