Released:
Label: Asylum/D4L Records
It's fitting that Shawty Lo was the only D4L member that didn't rap on their snap music smash, "Laffy Taffy": the lighthearted ode to female derrieres wouldn't have been representative of what the Atlanta street legend stands for. With a melodic flow reminiscent of Young Jeezy, Lo mostly sticks to rapping about his swagger, his days running the streets, and basically why he's the man. However, his penchant for catchy hooks and singsong verses, displayed on "Dunn, Dunn" and "Dey Know," keeps the material sounding fresh.
