Label: Interscope
The second installment of Robyn's trilogy finds the dance-pop diva emphasizing the dance -- and the dance floor as confessional. Less hook-driven and more subdued than its poppier predecessor, Part 2 is colored by long, more continuous grooves; smooth, decidedly less saucy vocals; and a darker, almost melancholy air. Take the opening track, which starts with a muted quotation of Robyn's "Konichiwa, bitches" tag, then reassures, "It's gonna be OK." Midway through, however, she chucks the introspection for a little hip-hop therapy with Dr. Snoop Dogg on the sass-tastic "U Should Know Better!"
