Released:
Label: Le Grand Magistery
After a handful of increasingly elaborate EPs and singles, PAS/CAL's debut full-length was two long years in the making. When it arrives with the slightly off-balance faux-classical countermelodies of a multimovement tune called "The Truth Behind All the Vogues She Sold," it's a sight heavier than the simple cheer of The Handbag Memoirs. The tunes are still as bold and sassy as a pair of pink pumps, but simpler stuff like "Little Red Radio" or "Glorious Ballad of the Ignored" is dead brilliant.
