Released:
Label: Big Kanaka - SoSouth
Much of Juelz Santana and Lil' Wayne's best material has been on underground mix tapes, free from the pop constraints of their major label work, so it's no surprise that North and South is a banger. "Imagine" and "Upgrade," taken from Wayne's acclaimed Drought 3 mix tape, are the strongest, as Weezy redefines the art of flow with delectable nonsense. Juelz also comes through with a pair of quick freestyles over Ghostface tracks ("Motherless Child" and "To the Grave"). Unfortunately, the sound quality is subpar and many of the tracks abruptly cut off. But this is a mix tape, after all.
