There's no better way to start a sophomore LP than with hot-hooked single "Collide." Where one goes from there is a little schizophrenic. "Live" and "Beauty of Grace" go all grrl rock, "The Situation" still wears lip gloss, but it's rather raw in both guitar and lyric, and somewhere between, you walk away with a Gin Blossoms' "Follow You Down" feeling. Closer "Hallelujah," slows the pace way down. It's both worshipful and reflective, and is the only thing of its sort in this set.
