A truly unique artist out of Toronto, K-Os has a one-of-a-kind musical style that incorporates hip-hop, reggae, soul, blues and even Spanish music, resulting in a fresh sound that is truly hard to categorize. Lyrically, he rails against rap's commercially exploited ignorance and a variety of social ills, but his production is usually dope enough to keep things from sounding too preachy. K-Os released his first album Exit in 2003, which lead to a tour with The Roots, De La Show and India.Arie. It also earned him a surprise Source Award for International Album Of The Year. His follow-up, Joyful Rebellion, dropped in 2004, and includes the singles "B-Boy Stance" and "The Love Song."
