Released:
Label: Show Dog Universal Music
Josh Thompson's sophomore release picks up where Way Out Here left off, with themes around much-beloved small towns, blue-collar employment (or lack thereof)and being not so lucky in love. Add to that thick, anthemic slabs of countrified Southern rock and songs about drinking, muscle cars and pretty girls and you've got a trifecta for success. "Down For a Get Down" and "Wanted Me Gone" are sassy, uptempo numbers that feature the kind of tasty guitar licks and pounding (semi-programmed) drums that get the party started. Other highlights include "Turn It Up," "Hillbilly Limo" and "Firebird."
