Because this is a live album from the 1970s, one might expect it to be less than essential -- just another of the glut of live albums released in that decade. And while there is both a drum solo and a bass solo (both of which rule), judging from the ferocity of "Walk Away," "Stop" and especially "Lost Woman," in 1971 James Gang was the most incredible, superhuman, unspeakably nasty trio of rock music samurais to ever take the stage. Pre-goofball Joe Walsh actually makes lasers shoot out of his guitar at least 666 times during the course of the set, no lie. Lasers! There is also chanting.
