About f*ck Buttons
Bristol's F*ck Buttons may sport a confrontational name, but their music is anything but. Sure, they're given to challenging rhythms, dubbed-out gibberish and bracing blasts of sound, but there's something sweet, even calming, about their tribal pulses and shimmering electronic sheets of sound. The duo of Andrew Hung and Benjamin John Power fuses influences from post-punk, Krautrock, lo-fi psychedelia and even techno into a huge, all-encompassing sound that caresses and digs in its nails in equal measure. They came on the scene in late 2007 and released their debut album, Street Horrrsing, the following year; in 2009 they recruited Andrew Weatherall to produce their sophomore album, Tarot Sport.
