About Ezra Furman

As students at Tufts University, the members of Ezra Furman and the Harpoons spent their time between classes playing music and writing songs. In 2006, they produced their first album, Beat Beat Beat, in their own dorm rooms. Soon after, they were signed to indie label Minty Fresh Records and released Banging Down the Doors in 2007 followed by Inside the Human Body in 2008. Blending poignant lyrics and avant-garde electric folk, the trio sounds like a cross between Bob Dylan and the Violent Femmes.
