Released:
Label: Capitol Records
This one collects a cross-section of Dino's Capitol recordings from the 1950s and early '60s -- his finest era. Martin uses the brilliant arranger Nelson Riddle on tracks such as "Just in Time" and "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face." He also shows his natural affinity for Italian-style ballads with "Innamorata" and charms with pseudo-Italian cuts like "That's Amore." Martin then scores with the Latin-style "Let Me Love You Tonight" and swings through "It Won't Cool Off" (from his wonderful Christmas platter A Winter Romance). Martin's world is endlessly fun, charming and effervescent.
