"Pimped Out" is yet another example of the ATL's stranglehold on urban music: spare, slippery synths; a bombastic cameo from snap music sovereigns Dem Franchize Boyz; and, of course, neck-cracking, back-popping snaps on the off-beats. Actually, it's basically the Boyz' "Lean Wit It" -- except Valentine's frosty, frugal vocals come from LA (by way of Houston). Why not? Snap music's party line is that anyone -- even gangstas and geographically distant singers -- can do it.
