Released:
Label: Roadrunner Records
Sounding more like a cross between Guns N' Roses and Alice In Chains than ever, Black Label Society offer a brand of rock music rarely heard these days: old school heavy metal. They get away with it because Zakk Wylde (no surprise) can shred with the best of 'em. Lots of Satanic wah-wahs, vocals gleaned from Alice's deceased Layne Staley (Wylde wrote a song called "Layne" for Society's last album) and even a drippy ballad for the sentimentalist hard lifer on his way to eternal damnation.
